After receiving the contact details of a new joiner (either via the Welcome Card or otherwise), please follow these steps to register him/her:

  • Enter contact details into the contact database
  • Add the new joiner to the email updates (if email is known)
  • Send welcome email (if email is know)

These steps are described in more detail below.

Enter Contact Details into the Contact Database

Add the New Joiner to the Email Updates

To add a new joiner to the email updates, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to User section of the AcyMailing extentions in the Joomla Backend. You may be asked to log in first.
  2. Click on New in the top right corner.
  3. Enter the full name in [first name] [last name] format.
  4. Enter the email address.
  5. Select Subscribed for Weekly Newsletter Subscribers.
  6. Click on Save & Close.

Send Welcome Email

After adding a new joiner, send the welcome email:

  1. Go to User section of the AcyMailing extentions in the Joomla Backend. You may be asked to log in first.
  2. Select the new joiner(s) by ticking the box in front of their name(s).
  3. Click on Actions in the top right corner.
  4. Under Actions, select Add an email to the queue.

  5. Select Welcome Email.

  6. Click on Process.
  7. Go to the email queue.
  8. Click on Process in the top-right corner and click Send.
  9. Check that the email queue is now empty.
