Publicising Process

Request

Anyone who wants to publicity an activity/course/event, should send an email with the following information to publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org by Tuesday, 6pm:

Short description We are holding an informal evening for those involved in leading worship and those who are interested in getting involved. The evening will start at 7.30 and will provide an opportunity to learn some new songs (or new ways to do old songs). So we look forward to seeing you with your instruments or voices

Please note that we are not asking for an image because Dan will we be choosing them. If the deadline is missed, it may still get done but there is no guarantee.

Internal Communication Channels

These are the main communication channels for communicating with members of the congregation:

Notice sheets publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org by Thursday morning Handed out, read by some members of the congregation Nela and Gemma collect material. Nela creates notice sheet as PDF, uploads to Website and prints them, usually on Thursday (Correct?). Once uploaded to the website, the notice sheet is automatically republished into the Facebook Group.
Notice slides/notices publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org by Wednesday morning Announced in church, heard by most of the congregation Dan Hayward create notice slides and send them to Nela and Gemma by Thursday morning
Weekly Email publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org by Wednesday morning Sent weekly between Thursday evening and Saturday to all subscribers (over 200 at the moment). In theory, anyone who is interested can sign up via the website, in practice most subscribers are members of the congregation. Michael and Dave take turns writing the Weekly Email which usually happens between Wednesday and Thursday. They forward it to Marc who send it out on the next day at the latest
Facebook Group Post yourself Seen by up to 130 group members, but often in practice by 40 members - can generate discussions. Most of the group members are members of the congregation. Member of the Facebook group can advertise their activities/courses/events themselves

Facebook Page publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org Seen by over 1000 Facebook users in the Bromley area when promoted (small cost to the church) After activity/event/course as been posted to website, Clare Herriot updates the Facebook page. Dan Hayward produces banners for the Facebook Page for major events.
Twitter publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org Seen by 100s of Twitter user when retweet by other key Twitter users After activity/event/course as been posted to website, Clare Herriot updates Twitter.
Netmums publicity@christchurchchislehurst.org Seen by young mums in the Bromley area After activity/event/course as been posted to website, Clare Herriot posts on Netmums if appropriate.
Parent Mail Sarah Baker Sent to most parent with children at St. Nicholas Primary School Sarah Baker contacts the Karen Robinson, the St. Nicholas administator.
