I've now been marketing on the web for around 7 years, I've tried every money producing scheme going....gifting and pyramid schemes in my own childhood before I realized these were illegal, expenditure programs (lost a of money), receives a commission to learn programs (a of work for a couple of lousy dollars), multi-level marketing programs, internet programs, you name it, I've tried it!

And along the way I've learned anything or two about marketing, recruiting, building downlines, building money online and most definitely losing money online...but does that produce me a Guru? Am I now a professional in website marketing and homebased business? Well I certainly do not consider myself a professional or these Guru - whatever which means.

But I've my own, personal internet sites, I am part of a successful group in an incredible MLM organization, I work a couple of affiliate programs, I run a few blogs, I know a thing or two about marketing both on and offline, I write articles on the topic of web marketing and homebased company and so on...

I read about several so called experts with 4, 5 or 6 years experience of internet marketing...they have created e-books and courses about the subject, some even hold conferences and training calls about it but are they really experts? I've read many ebooks published by these authorities and more frequently or not they show me nothing knew.

I really do not consider myself an expert or an internet marketing Guru. I do have a lot of experience and am more than willing to give what I've learnt through the years. But I am still learning...I still search out good ebooks to therefore, search out new advertising processes to master and read on...we should all be studying all the time. We shouldn't relax and think we're now an expert on some thing. Give your knowledge to others but keep learning....

Just last week I spoke to some body I have known online on and off for decades. I was surprised to know he thought I was some 'major player', some website marketing expert. He was taken aback, when I explained I was just some body spending so much time to make a living on line like he was and truly was no expert and it straight away gave him a boost to build his or her own business. He'd thought he couldn't really succeed, that he did not have the skills need etc. Then he finds out I'm just plugging away as he's and all a he thinks he can achieve success also...and he will.

Take carefully when you're next offered a report by a 'master.' Do they really know more than you do? the infographic
