What's the average IQ score? In theory the tests are made so that half the population will score below 100 and half above, and are obtained in accordance with age of the test taker. Here is a breakdown of IQ scores in the typical population:

130 or higher: 2.2% of the people.

120-129: 6.7% of the population.

110-119: 16.1% of the people.

90-109 (Average ): 50% of the people.

80-89: 16.1% of the people.

70-79: 6.7% of the populace.

Below 70: 2.2% of the population.

Three Methods To An Above Regular IQ Report

Is it possible proper with an above average IQ score? Improbable. In the event that you begin at 70, for instance, it would be tough to ever score more than 100. The good thing is that a lot of people can raise their score relatively from wherever they begin. Here are three approaches to do it:

1. Be described as a better test taker. Feel the test easily. Miss over issues you're not sure about, and go back to them later. It's always better on a test to answer all the easy questions first. Like that several questions were not eaved by you unanswered simply because you spent too much time trying to get the clear answer to a hardcore one.

Always answer every question on multiple choice tests. When in doubt, first eliminate the responses that you know or suspect are incorrect, and then choose one of many remaining. If you remove two of four answers on a number of questions, you'll receive 1 / 2 of those questions right on average.

2. Have the best conditions set up. Get good rest before the test, breath deeply through your nose, and sit up straight. These are shown to improve performance on nearly every test. Eat fish too. Recent studies demonstrate that eating fish boosts brain waves and increases attention.

If you are allowed music, allow it to be Mozart. If you're able to not need music during the test, pay attention to it prior to. In a single study, subjects who paid attention to Mozart's sonata for Just Two Pianos in D Major, K. 448 for ten minutes before an IQ test scored seven points higher. Do what you may can to have your body and brain ready for the test.

3. Exercise your brain. This is a longer term approach that assumes it is possible to permanently improve your brain function and intelligence, and thus raise your average IQ score. It is a safe assumption in my knowledge, and no harm can come from the attempt.

One final idea. It is my experience that my score is greater on an IQ test the 2nd or third time I take it. Why not exercise by using an on the web test the afternoon before your scheduled test? If this bumps up the common IQ score by a point or two I'd not be surprised. needs
