Nominated for 7 Golden Globes and 6 Emmys, including Outstanding Writing for a Series, Just Shoot Me is one of the top cutting-edge circumstance comedies of the late-1990s and early-2000s. The NBC initial collection could be the creation of talented author Steven Levitan, author for such famous TELEVISION shows as Wings (1990), The Larry Sanders Show (1992), and Frasier (1993) - among others. Having a multitalented cast with a shortage of knowledge on the planet of show business, Just Shoot Me is one of the funniest and best-written sitcoms of its time

Just Shoot Me follows the exploits of an odd staff of experts working in the New York offices of the imaginary "Blush" journal (similar to "Cosmo" in actual life). The line starts when Maya Gallo (Laura San Giacomo), the only real child of Blush magazine owner and manager Jack Gallo (George Segal), gets fired from her work as a serious writer and accumulates as a writer for Blush magazine. Planning to make the newspaper more "cerebral," Maya is continually butting heads with her by-the-numbers, give-the-masses-what-they-want father. Maya must face the incessant sarcasm of Jack's personal assistant Dennis Finch (David Spade), the continuous improvements of womanizing photographer Elliott DiMauro (Enrico Colantoni), and the veracious neuroses of ex-model, made trend publisher Nina Van Horn (Wendie Malick). Together, the strange amalgam of structural figures forms a wonderful, humorous, and often amusing setting by which to create the planet of fashion on fire

The Just Shoot Me DVD comes with a quantity of entertaining episodes such as the collection premiere "Back Issues" where a lately unemployed, broke, and quite desperate Maya Gallo seeks work from anyone and organization she had least prefer to benefit - her father at Blush magazine. Now, Maya must not only deal with her estranged father, but with numerous other workers who fear that her reputation may diminish their own influence and prospects for improvement within the organization Other distinctive episodes from Seasons 1 & 2 include "Lemon Wacky Hello" in which Jack returns from China with an unique candy for everybody at the office to attempt, but they know much too late that the candy is laced with a drug, and "The Kiss" in which a harmless kiss, prompted by their pretending to be married, leads to bigger issues for Maya and Elliott's relationship
