A couple of days ago Apple released the new iPhone OS 3.1 for the iPhone. Apple also released a firmware update for that ipod itouch. Unlike the iPhone OS 3.1 the iPod Touch firmware has been pushed out as iPhone OS 3.1.1. This new iPhone OS enhance some of the features, it also add additional features on the iPhone.
For instance, it improved synching music, movies, Television shows, podcasts and photos, iTunes U content organization, Option to "Save as new clip" when trimming a relevant video on apple iphone [There are reports that shows the iPhone 3G and iPod touch also gained the ability to make use of the trimming video feature], better iPhone 3G Wi-Fi Performance when Bluetooth is on, fixes icons displaying incorrectly and many more.
Many iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G users who upgraded to the iPhone OS 3.1 were having problems accessing their Microsoft accounts because of incompatibility of iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G with exchange's server-side encryption. It appears as though the iPhone 3G S didn't present this sort of problem. This problem evidently was cause by a bug since before upgrading to iPhone OS 3.1 users could access their Microsoft accounts without any problems.
Many AT&T customers are already reporting that they'll use MMS on their own iPhone before September 25th the state day MMS goes live.
