Auto medical alert systems are emergency response systems designed to overcome any life threatening situation. It is a small , non-intrusive device providing independence, security and fast response to individuals with limited mobility, senior citizens, and people with disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, asthma, diabetes, emphysema, epilepsy, heart disease, ms, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and those recovering from major surgeries.

Like every other electronic medical alert systems, an auto medical alert system has a wireless alert button, a medical alert console, and sensing element. The main feature of the auto medical alert system is an associated 24-hour staffed alert monitoring center, which provides reliable medical assistance to its subscribers. The alert button is extremely small, weighs nearly an ounce, and could be worn on the wrist or round the neck. Its water-resistant nature enables it to be worn in the shower or bath. The console is sufficiently small to become conveniently mounted on a wall or fitted on the table. It receives signals from as much as 1000 feet distance. The console is linked to a mobile phone line and connected to a wall outlet. The console automatically requires monitoring service if this receives a reminder signal in the button. Then it establishes a two-way hands-free communication between your patient and also the monitoring personnel, until help arrives. The monitoring center acts based on need. The primary plus is that there isn't any any installation or programming option necessary to use the auto medical alert system.

The autumn detection sensor is also a part of some auto medical alert systems and it is worn inside a special belt. The sensor automatically summons emergency assistance in case the wearer suffers a fall. Remote call answering, monthly test call reminders, power back-up facility, and automatic voice-to-voice communication features turn it into a perfect choice for patients. A number of important telephone numbers could be fed into the auto medical alert systems.
