Psoriasis, a skin disorder that is thought to affect 1-3% of the worlds population, is unsightly, especially if it affects areas not easily covered by clothing. The symptoms are a reddening of the skin which becomes thick and hard, and scaling will usually occur. The areas of the body typically affected include the elbows and knees, the top of the head, under the breasts, and around the genitals. In the case of the latter two areas, the skin scales (known as plaques) will probably become wet and pasty. Psoriasis can also be found under the nails, both the toe nails and the finger nails. The nails tend to lift and become pitted and the symptoms under nails can be particularly difficult to treat; far better to try to treat the underlying causes of the psoriasis rather than the symptoms. The most effective natural treatment for psoriasis is a cream containing aloe vera and bee propolis. More than 80 per cent of patients in a placebo controlled double-blind in a medical trial were cured of plaque psoriasis with a natural treatment. You can find this natural treatment for psoriasis here.
